Other Forensic Examinations
- Repair of broken or damaged recording equipment that was used to make a questioned recording to determine the "class and individual" characteristics this recorder imprints on a recording. The results are used to determine if the tape recording in question could have been made on this equipment.
- Recovery of improperly erased tape recordings using multi-narrow track magneto resistive head technology. Entire width of tape is searched for a narrow "sliver" track that was not fully erased.
- Optimized playback of over-recorded tapes to reduce distortion caused by tape saturation.
